-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- YNS hosts Songbridge Festival“This has been my first year in Concert Singers. I had a great time all year but by far the best part was the Songbridge Festival. I had 3 girls stay with me from the North American Choral Company. They were all really cool. On Friday we played name games and rehearsed at the CCC. On Saturday we went to Chicago and went site-seeing. The Iowa Youth Choirs went to Navy Pier and the Grand Rapids group went to the Shedd Aquarium and Giordano’s Pizza. Everyone there had a great time. Some people started complaining though because they didn’t have pizza this good back in Michigan. Over all I’m sure that everyone would like to do it again. And I am personally sure that I am going to stay in Young Naperville Singers for at least two more years. The concert on Saturday night was fabulous, the Iowa Choir had some great songs and the North American Choral company made beautiful music. I loved the Saturday concert!” ~ Lily -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ice Cream SocialThursday, July 28, 2005 7:45 P.M. On Thursday, July 28th, members of Young Naperville Singers sang the National Anthem at the evening’s Naperville Municipal Band Concert in Central Park. YNS also hosted the Ice Cream Social in conjunction with the concert. The evening was packed with wonderful music and delicious food! “THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! What a beautiful night and a very successful evening. We could not have asked for a more perfect evening, as far as the weather. Everything went very smoothly, after the lights went on in the bandshell. Thanks to all who volunteered, baked, bought, donated and sold. It was a tremendous effort, but well worth the time and energy spent. Plus we had a good time. We could not have been so successful without the help of everyone involved. Let’s look forward to the Ice Cream Social next year...” ~ Carol Durava
